Santa Cruz Pasta Factory has been producing handmade, fresh pasta, ravioli, and sauces since 2007.
Steve Simonovich left the corporate world with a desire to start his own business. He realized that there could be a demand for fresh pasta, instead of the dried pasta that’s common at grocery stores. After testing recipes at home alongside their three children, and procuring Italian manufactured pasta machines, Steve and Cathie Simonovich opened the Santa Cruz Pasta Factory on Scotts Valley Drive in Scotts Valley, a small town near the coast in Northern California. The restaurant was open until 2009.
Our business originally opened as a full service Italian restaurant and delicatessen, with all pastas, raviolis, and sauces being made in house. After the restaurant closed, we focused on selling our products at farmers’ markets throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, distributing to grocery stores, and at our own retail shop. We currently sell our products at over 50 grocery stores, ranging from Monterey to San Francisco, and at 5 year round farmers’ markets.
Santa Cruz Pasta Factory’s collection of over 40 products are made fresh daily. We pride ourselves on offering classic noodles like spaghetti and fettuccine, alongside unique creations like pear & pecorino or artichoke & feta ravioli. Top it off with one of our homemade sauces, and you will be able to taste the difference.
